Boy does Sloane know how to write a book. The man is a romance genius. So I think everyone should start reading this author cause you will not regret it. The romance between the characters were perfect and I love that about a book and of course the chemistry between them was just fire.
I am reading this book as part of the Alpha Bad Boy Box set and let me say that I am hooked as a Sloane Howell Fan. Gavin Markoff is an awesome character.
Elizabeth and Gavin's story is a very short story but Sloane is able to still get the major points of the characters and the flow of the story to the reader. He has a way with words that are like no other author I had ever read. Despite the length of the story I was still completely engrossed in the story and was able to picture it all in my head while I read it.
Sloane Howell is an amazing writer and if you have not read any one his works yet you need to and this is a great story to start with or any from the box set. This a story that can be read in one sitting but packs a hell of a punch. Sloane was able to give me enough information on the characters and the story line that I was able to follow to the conclusion he gave the story. I am sure short stories are hard for an author to write as you have to try and fit character profiles with enough information to follow along and still give you a good story as well in a few pages. Sloane knocked it out of the park with this one.
I can not wait to read the rest of the set and more of Sloane's work.
All that is on Gavin's mind is fighting, screwing around with girls and winning. It's the only way he knows, but when he plays baseball he plays old school. However Gavin has got to start realising that he can't get away with starting a fight during the smaller league games as that could cause a lot of trouble for him up in the bigger games. So when his Coach sends him to see a counsellor that specialized in professional athletes, what he wasn't expecting was for her to be so beautiful that he couldn't resist her.
Elizabeth has been a Doctor/Counsellor for quite a while and even though she is used to speaking to all these athletes, when she got the request from one of her mothers friends she isn't exactly sure what to make of the situation. From what she is told is that the guy she is meant to be seeing is such a great guy at baseball but he never sticks to the rules and his coach has fears that he will go out of control. When she does meet Gavin she struggles to hide the fact that she is deeply attracted to him and even though she calls him out on what he does and he does the same back to her you can see that there is a connection between them. However after Gavin skilfully manages to seduce her and plough two fingers into her for the rest of the week she can't seem to shake him from her memory.
What will happen between the two of them, as for Elizabeth it's been a long time since she let anyone try anything with her and then you have Gavin who never has considered a proper relationship. This book will intrigue you from the very beginning. I am enjoying this series very much and recommend you try it too.

Calling all baseball lovers you will never look at a baseball player the same way again. Awesome read I love Gavin.
What's not to love about a rough and rugged bad boy, baseball player? He's an expert at what he does on the field and in between the sheets. Gavin is the whole package, and well a equipped to satisfy every woman's sexual needs - covering all his bases. However, when Elizabeth walks into his life, the sexual tension burns so hot, it will set your kindle on fire! Sloane Howell does it again - hits a home run; the readers go wild!!!
I think this may be my favourite Alpha Bad Boy Book! Sloane, you hit this one outta the park! (did I get that term right?!)
It's a quick read with lots of super steamy sex scenes - definitely not for the faint-hearted!
Bad Boy, Gavin, is a minor league baseball player with a temper. He wants to intimidate his opponents and get inside their heads. After yet another outburst, he is sent to see a counselor. A hot counselor. Let the sexiness begin!
I also loved the epilogue ) So sweet!
